Soap Box, pt 1

My momma always told be the best in your servitude
But how when nobody around feels like they deserve you?
Reoccurring dreams of victory and celebration
Ended with the reality of defeat and facial precipitation
Ruined reputations
Whats next you think? Whats our next step?
We stepped in thinking they were on their last breath
Use this as a driver and start up the car?
Drive harder for next year and make sure our gas makes it just as far?
But whats the point in reaching up if we can never touch the stars?
But thats pessimistic, gotta keep a smile on
Even in your pain, a strong front can rain down a storm
So, feelings on my sleeve, I go against the norm
Im not a liar, Im a writer for those with no voice
When its a touchy subject, words come out with no choice
Be it love, mess or sticky situations..
But why is it only the bad shake your inspirations?
I didnt ask for it, it was given to me
I write the pictures my brain show me vividly
Some works had to be hidden, for fear of hurting feelings
The pain of losing friends feels worse when you worked so many innings
Not enough hits and too many strikes
We just cant be friends, my moms tells me thats life
Win some and lose some, but with Jesus on your side
All you need to lose is pride
So with pain in my eyes, I keep pushing forward
This is only part one, many more to come
Ill keep my head high, anything less is absurd
